A November election in 1910 brought hope to thousands of Washington women, and millions across America. After decades of struggle, humiliation and defeat they had finally won the right to vote. The 5th state to grant women suffrage, this vote renewed the effort of women nationwide, leading to the adoption of the 19th Amendment 10 years later.
