Here we are at quarter age Performance his soulful and reflective songs.
I let you choose my name.
On Inland Sessions.
I Burden of night swallowed the shadow of you, And we all know truth aint really what we choose.
Memories outlast the foolish dreams.
To fear what you find oh the things I cant un see.
Sweetness aside with fear were all confined.
Oh, the drunken demons we both now hide.
Watch the sun burn black.
I let darkness through the cracks.
Gracious soul my shadows thief.
Watch the hands turn back, back when lonely could laugh.
All of that left with the ghost of me.
Just the lack of your company.
Moonlights silhouette and the ashes of you, these embers of hope are blinding the truth.
A melody so fine echoes in halls of time.
All these regrets will feed my lonely rhymes.
As you sing I drag through morning routine, cold coffee burnt lungs, no sugar is free.
Watch the sun burn black.
I let darkness through the cracks.
Gracious soul my shadows thief.
Watch the hands turn back, back when lonely could laugh.
All of that left with the ghost of me.
Just the lack of your company.
Warning lights, evacuate.
Whats left inside is all to take.
Again, in time we will awake.
You were mine just yesterday but by design it all goes away.
You cant hide when a gun is for hire.
A worry of mine is to grow to be tired.
To leave and let dry, while the soul is a fire, soul is a fire, soul is a fire.
If the heavens decide to separate, the story behind will complicate.
The power refined to fabricate.
You were mine just yesterday but by design it all goes away.
You cant hide when a gun is for hire.
A worry of mine is to grow to be tired.
To leave and let dry, while the soul is a fire, soul is a fire, sould is a fire.
soul is a fire.
oohhh, oohhooo You're soul is on fire Damn it this rage that pistol of pain.
Found poets frown in all of my days.
But you could turn round tell me to walk your way.
Well Ive been worrying that youll fall.
Dont you fall from me.
Baby dont you see.
Ive been worrying that youll find, theres no magic in my sleeve.
Ive been wondering if you mind, mind my memories.
Baby dont you see.
Ive been wondering if you really know I aint six feet and four.
Ive been worrying Ive been worrying Ive been worrying Ive been worrying Ive been worrying Ive been worrying Ive been worrying Ive been worrying Ive been worrying Ive been worrying Well I've been promising cuz there are kings for sale, beggars at your feet baby dont you see.
I've been promising there is nothing to fear except the ordinary here.
Thorn of Rose whispers in our bones.
I felt love when we danced, I found strength in your small hands.
Words come out like feathers in your mouth.
Birds of song and summer rain through the night tend to your flame.
Awaken sun, happy hearts are on the run.
Well there are ways to shake a shadow.
So Im told.
Shelter me in the cedar groves.
Paint me in gold.
Could heaven be the arms that hold ya?
What do you know?
In those eyes, promise of the skies.
I felt love when we danced, I found strength in your small hands.
Electric glow, blanket me in static snow.
Silent dark, forget the blame, through the night tend to your flame.
Awaken sun, happy hearts are on the run.
Well there are ways to shake a shadow.
So Im told.
Shelter me in the cedar groves.
Paint me in gold.
Could heaven be the arms that hold ya?
what do you know?
Well there are ways to shake a shadow.
So Im told.
Shelter me in the cedar groves.
Paint me in gold.
Could heaven be the arms that hold ya?
what do you know?
Poems that I speak Will never do a thing.
If you don't learn what they mean or the odds that Astrology could bring you to me.
Words we choose not to write.
Still thoughts all sound alike.
But I would never understand a world filled with my own demands so just take my hand.
I would fight.
I would fight.
I will fight for tonight.
She's stubborn in her stride.
doesnt like wasting time.
If I believe surely shes the one to give me clarity, Let's wait and see.
The rules we all must obey, but dont give doubt its day.
What if fame does come your way but you placed blame on both our names?
Well whos to say.
I would fight.
I would fight.
I will fight for Its a dance with time to try and make you mine.
We could hide in that evening light.
Fortune will find those who truly try.
At least we tried, tonight.
I looked into your stable eyes and I lost my way.
Gave our bodies to the night just to make our case.
She said stand in line theres a soul we could trade.
I told that devil forever may not come, and I just cant wait.
Tightening the crown that you made.
Together forever we will remain.
You say tomorrows too late, I say seize the day.
Here we are at quarter age, and I let you choose my name.
one way rail midnight train.
White picket fence without a gate.
Spend our days running from rain I want to be a child again.
I looked into your stable eyes and I lost my way.
Gave our bodies to the night just to make our case.
She said stand in line theres a soul we could trade.
I told that devil forever may not come, and I just cant wait.
Bend down, broken and lame.
Wherever theres pleasure, there will be pain.
You say tomorrows to late, I say seize the day.
There are ways we just dont relate, and I now know my name.
Nurtured by shadow and shade, let the sun rise for a change.
Spend your days running from rain, I want to be a child again.
