♪ ♪the top the hill♪ ♪ My name is Lucas Brown, and I'm born and raised in Spokane, Washington.
Music is really my primary passion and and focus in life.
When I was 15 years old, I got into a pretty serious bicycle accident.
I woke up in the hospital and was pretty debilitated for several weeks.
And during that time, I found a lot of comfort in music and in the power of music.
And I think ever since then, I've had a very sort of intimate connection with with sound and music and the healing aspects of, of that, I've never really looked back since.
All right, we're going to do this song here called Loneliness.
This is off my first EP entitled Everything Means Something Out Here.
It features Justyn Priest here on some fancy electric guitar work.
We're gonna do an acoustic version here today.
So this songs called Loneliness.

I played a song called Loneliness that was written.
The music and the words were probably written and, you know, a matter of 15 minutes.
There's other songs like the song Whiskey for a While that I played today where I had the guitar part sitting around for maybe two or three years.

♪ Right now, my music career is basically just rooted here in the Spokane area.
There's a podcast that I listen to a lot called The Working Songwriter with the guy, Joe Pug, and he talks about on there how these days you can there's kind of this middle class.
You can be a middle class kind of working musician and kind of make a middle class living at it.
So I think I've found myself in a place that's pretty cool, that I can be kind of middle class working musician.
Do I have aspirations to do bigger things?
Totally.
But we'll see where that goes.
