Right now on Inland Sessions.
This first song is called Wake Up and I dedicate this to anybody who may be struggling with depression or anxiety um, just to let you know that you are not alone and there is help.
[Wake Up by Jaeda] Oh.
Oh.
Ooh.
Woke up on the wrong side.
Tears in my eyes, life on standby I'm a die if I don't do something Not to prove something but I got to move something.
Why life, I felt defeated.
Life got the stranglehold choking out the meaning.
Where's the silver lining?
Can you tell me whats the lesson?
I guess I took a stab but now Im left with second guessing.
I woke up at a quarter past ten.
Got to fight the good fight.
Got to make amends.
I woke up to a brand new day.
But I just want to pull the curtains.
Want it all to go away.
Body feels tired and my brain is exhausted.
I thought I had it all, but now it seems like I lost it.
Codependent in the past got me reeling.
I want a numb heart, no feeling.
Wake up, wake up, wake up.
Put on your make up, make up, make up.
What are you made of, made of, made of Where is the warrior inside you Lost let it find you Wake up, wake up, wake up.
Put on your make up, make up, make up What are you made of, made of, made of Where is the warrior inside you?
Woke up on the right side today Past on fade, my gifts on display For who am I just to focus on regret Gotta move on, gotta learn from all of it I woke up inside the glory of creation.
I woke up to build a new situation.
I woke up because I don't want to die.
Stitch up the broken wing and now Im set to fly Soaring through the atmosphere guided by intention Scars on my heart, Im not aiming for perfection But I got a gift and it was not just meant for me Because life is giving back and Im a flower droppin seeds I'm waking up, Im hope youre waking up too Dream a little dream a little dream, thats on you Dance in the storm thats what youve gotta do Appreciate the hue not every sky is blue Wake up, wake up, wake up.
Put on your makeup, makeup, makeup What are you made of, made of, made of Where is the warrior inside you, lost let it find you Wake up, wake up, wake up.
Put on your makeup, makeup, makeup.
What you made of, made of, made of Where is the warrior inside you?
I woke up in a brand new dimension I woke up looking for reflection.
I woke up seeking connection.
But I woke up, I woke up, did I mention I woke up so that I could smell the coffee.
I woke up because my dreams were too haunting?
I woke up part of me was lost, see I woke up but I just wanna go to sleep I know you want to quit, I know you wanna cry I know you want to live your life but something in you died I know you think you cant but today I know you will Push through the pain, keep it real I know you wanna quit, I know you want to cry I know you want to live your life but something in you died I know you think you cant, today I know you will Push through the pain Wake up, wake up, wake up.
Put on your makeup, makeup, makeup What are you made of, made of, made of Where is the warrior inside you?
Lost let it find you Wake up, wake up, wake up.
Put on your makeup, makeup, makeup What are you made of, made of, made of Where is the warrior inside you?
Wake up.
One of like my fan bases favorite songs is the first song that I did called Wake Up.
And, um, I wrote that song in a really dark period of my life, and ah, I just felt very compelled to be honest with myself and my audience about what I was experiencing.
To maybe, uh, diminish some of the stigma behind depression and anxiety or.
You know, even just like an era of your life that is challenging.
And to and to speak on that and to just be really, really raw and honest about that.
And that's really potent to me because I think music is that glue that binds us all and makes us remember that we're all human, we're all here.
We have good days, bad days.
You know, life is just a roller coaster, but that you're not alone.
And there is absolutely people out there that want to help.
You want to listen.
And so that song is very close to my heart.
This next song is called They Want Me, and I just released a music video for this song.
So, YouTube, check it out.
[They Want Me by Jaeda] They want me.
They want me.
I can see, they want me.
They want me, They want me.
I can see.
They want me to be They want me To be a leaf on a branch of a tree Falling I see That I wont back down, no chance No faltering No chance they can own my mind, Dull my shine, take whats mine Read between the lines of the book that I write Oh, they want me To be complacent, move to the basement Make believe That Im nothing, powerless and vacant But theyll see, That Im not sold out, old soul My frequency Is beyond They want me They want me I can see They want me They want me, they want me.
I can see.
They want me, to be Cure for the sick Heart go boom Time go tick Move make room Can they tell now Im not that way But do they still wanna burn me like a witch?
Do they wanna test me?
Do they want a sample?
Do they want to make me a martyr?
A vandal?
Freeze frame.
No shame.
Make it a scandal.
Do they want to clean me out?
Words go bang Hearts go boom Time go tick Move make room Do they want to tell everybody the truth?
Nope.
Do they want to change for the better?
Well, let's hope.
I can take em out with a blink of a 3rd eye I can make em stop at the drop of an old dime I can show em how to herb if they got thyme Show em how to swerve, miss the red light They want me But they dont got me, Im a kamikaze And theyll see That Im too fly, too high to not be Offering What I got by divine design, remember whats mine Align, align You buy a ticket, now enjoy the ride.
They want me But they dont got me, Im a kamikaze And theyll see That Im too fly, too high to not be Offering What I got by divine design, remember whats mine Align, align You bought the ticket, now enjoy the ride They want me They want me I can see.

I like, um.
One of my favorite artists of all time is Nina Simone.
And, you know, she in an interview, she said, you know, if you're really not speaking on, um, the times that you're living in and the the the generational woes of your time, like, what are you really doing?
And so I'm really drawn to music that has a strong social message, that is revolutionary in its origins and um, something that inspires people and makes them feel something raw and real and true to them, you know?
So.
Definitely the some of the running themes are like, you know, independence and just like saying what you want and just like fighting the good fight, you know, and fighting for a cause.
So, you'll definitely see that in my music a lot.
This next song is called Why, Why, Why?
[Why, Why Why by Jaeda] Always asking why Usually dont know I ask them why, why, why And they say, I don't know I ask them, why is the sky that hue of blue?
And if you were to die tomorrow, today, what would you do?
It's like a test of balance, how do we pursue, Extremes, is it over or under or straight through?
Quandaries, feeling bound by intuition Don't always want to choose, dont always wanna make decision Like, should I stay or should I go?
and is this love for real?
Indicators pointing to the parts I need to heal?
Is life a test and are we ever truly free?
Is it down dog 30 or am I just barking up a tree?
Could it be that no one knows the future is not to see The parallels between the growth and where we plant the seed I ask em why we ‘re here, whats the point and why so nervous?
Existentialism digging under Earths flesh A psychedelic frame surfacing the hurt-ness Hot tip, work smart to work less I ask em why, why, why And they say, I don't know I don't know I ask em why, why, why And they say and they say, I dont know I ask them why, why, why, butterfly?
Am I living the dream because luciditys the vibe?
And when I die will elevators drop out of the sky?
And open into portals that will promise me the light?
If I dream it different is that my reality?
Anatomy of a dream state academy Why they wanna battle me, Im just tryna do the thing Elevate the consciousness and let the bells ring I ask em why these lyrics detonate my soul?
If music is time travels is this mic the open road?
Does art imitate life or the other way around And can we heal our bodies with the frequency of sound?
Megahertz explore me Reverence to the ones who came before me Potency in learning from another mans story You can make a change, level up You're more than enough, words pouring from the cup I ask em, Why?
Why?
Why?
And they say, I don't know I don't know I ask em, Why?
Why?
Why?
And they say, and they say I dont know Nobody know or fit the mold Mutable, truth a stones throw Starting point to the open road Mystery of life, how it unfolds Complicated, jumbled in my process Offset, talk less, listen to the prophets Rock set, she got the look pop tends Billie Holiday em cuz a broken heart is arts friend I think knowledge is a super power I wont trade this moment for an hour Life is passion fruit, both sweet and sour I just bust it open and devour Books, scribbling reading my notes when I ask em why, Im just looking for some jokes Nerd core, smarty pants, Im just quoting em some quotes Shut em down, trivia pursuing what I wrote I ask em, Why?
Why?
Why?
Yeah, I do And they say, I don't know I dont know I ask em, Why?
Why?
Why?
And they say, and they say, I dont know This next song is called Leaving.
And I wrote this song when I was just kind of feeling like, I wish I could blast off from the Earth and just, like, leave humanity for a while and, like, just welcoming the aliens to come abduct me.
Just ready.
So if you've ever felt that way, this song is for you.

[Gateways by Jaeda] Even though the sun don't always shine upon us We keep on growing, were dedicated warriors And life aint always gonna be a bowl of cherries But we light it up and float away because we are luminarires Hey, people when you gonna realize your power Hanging on a dream and this is the hour When change is going to happen, we rising towards the precipice Strange how it happens but we showing them the best of this And we Can be Always The ones to make a change Our dreams Can be Gateways To things we cant imagine We Can be Always The change we want to see Our dreams Can be gateways, gateways Gateways to the impossible, honest though never let it go Never let it go.
