So my name is Jesse Quandt I grew up on the state line in Spokane and Idaho, right in Newman Lake I spent just under ten years in Army.

I came back to Spokane in 2015, and really just the main concentration besides my family and God was music.

The whole music scene really exploded and was really, really good to be able to kind of come up in the in the Northwest and see this rise of music and can be a part of it.

Got a handful of darts, gonna wind up let ‘em fly watch and see where they land Cuz shes had enough of this town she's sick of being let down, looking for change of pace.

I started playing drums and that's really what ruled every bit of my youth.

By the time I was in middle school, I was, you know, doing every band project that I could do and extracurricular band project with like the Spokane Junior Symphony.

By the time that I was graduating, know, the 911 attacks.

And then we went to war with Iraq, and I kind of weighed my options and I was like, I just don't feel like music is where I wanted to be at that time, even though I'd work to this point where I was like, I was set up to go to college for it and this was my future.

And so I just dropped everything and I joined the army.

And by the time that I got out of the Army, you know, spent about two years writing, doing all sorts of random music events.

And by the time 2015 came along is where it really started to take back off.

I don't know where it's going to lead.

I just kind of have stories to tell and I want to tell them Keep looking at me like that I don't know how to act When you flashed me that smile and that fire in your eyes.

I kind of have to laugh And you're leading me on now I'm just gonna play along with this little game.

You got us caught up in I don't want it to end.

Music is its own language Music is a story.

It's got a soul, it's got a heart.

I think I'm at an age where I start seeing so much change around me.

My my daughter graduating, getting married, having their first child, and us having our first grandbaby.

You know, you start to see everything change.

And so I wrote Fly Girl, before she got married.

And that was kind of like a it was one of those things that was just like, Man, I want someone to hear this, try to tell the story as best I can and be a uniting Factor and spread love, spread the joy of it.

reading a bedtime story, a kiss goodnight for your dad and mother for you to get up ten more times because you needed a sip of water.

Waking up bright and early jumping in our bed.

A whole lot of sleep that we didnt get not a moment we regret You grew up so damn fast Its time to fly girl, fly Fast forward a few years, A house full of teenage girls, Hiphop songs and teenage boys took up your whole world.

You were 14 going on 30.

No one could tell you nothing Living in a world all your own you never look back to see what was coming Now your wheels up and off the ground.
